About Us
J. Richard Hildebrand & Co. Chartered Certified Accountants was founded many years ago by Mr Jonathan Richard Hildebrand (universally known as Rick). The firm has been established since 1981.
We have obtained a good reputation by word of mouth in many industry sectors, most especially the creative industries such as Photography, Advertising, and Film Production.
We have in particular taken a firm attitude with the authorities and used our best efforts to get the optimum result for our clients within the bounds of the law. Some of our longest lasting clients remain with us because we resolved such issues as H M Revenue and Customs enquiries and negotiated settlement of tax arrears over time.
We do not advise on artificial tax avoidance schemes.
Stephen Handley
FCCA – Business Owner
Stephen Handley joined the firm as a Sub-Contractor on a very part-time basis in the autumn of 1994 and over time became the Office Manager, then the co-owner of the business and finally sole owner.
He qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1987, switching over to ACCA in 2013.
When not working at the Practice, he grows vegetables on his allotment for relaxation.
Deborah Handley

Deborah Handley has 20 years’ city experience in Finance including retail, insurance, merchant banking and the Stock Market:

• Barings Stock Brokers before and after the Nick Leeson Scandal.
• Pershings Clearing House.
• Smith and Williamson Wealth Managers.
She has also been self-employed as a complementary therapist. She obtained an award for Volunteering by the Royal Bough of Kensington and Chelsea for her work at the Blenheim Centre for victims of substance misuse where she had the honour of meeting Princess Royal – Princess Anne.
Recently qualified as Bookkeeper with the Institute of Certified Bookkeepers and is currently bringing the practice into the digital world of online cloud software. Deborah also manages training and setting up clients for the new digital age.
Zaheer Shah

Zaheer Shah has been part of our team since September 2018. He has graduated from Middlesex University with a First Class Hons (Class 2017). Whilst studying at university, he was employed as Student Learning Assistant (SLA) by Middlesex University.
Prior to joining JRHandco, Zaheer was self-employed as an Uber Partner Driver, which he started during his final year of studying at university.
He enjoys working with numbers and is keen to achieve his ACCA qualification.
Zaheer spends his spare time by going out with friends, working-out at the gym and playing snooker. He thinks no one can replace Ronnie O’Sullivan. Zaheer also speaks fluent Farsi/Dari and Hindi/Urdu.
